Having Confidence In God -The HOLY ONE

Happy Man and Woman high five each other for Confidence in God

Having confidence in God requires some necessary bible research. It will speak about where you are in your walk with the Lord.

This is a quest that every believer should devote their entire lifetime discovering.

It is such an important piece of information within a new convert’s development with the King of Kings.

Finding out about Jesus Christ is not an experience that we can compress it all into a single church service.

You have to devote a lifelong commitment to understanding who Jesus is, and furthermore who YOU ARE IN CHRIST.

As newborn babies in The Lord, individuals often look to others to define their spiritual purpose.

It’s quite common and a natural instinct in the early stages of one’s development.

Receiving the baptism of the Holy-Spirit is the beginning of a new direction in a person’s heart.

Pastors have a requirement to mold and groom the flock of God in the ways of Christ.

Receiving the baptism of The Holy-Spirit is also the transformation of a brand-new lifestyle.

The water baptism, although equally important is an outward symbol of an internal regeneration unto the Lord.

Doing both reflects, a person that is under the influence of the power of God.

They are committing wholeheartedly to surrendering their will to Christ.

Sure, we can confirm, guide and even cultivate a person’s spiritual gift within the boundaries of a Pastoral office.

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with this when it’s properly fed. However, the actual calling on an individual’s life is divine.

This means that the Lord will inform you personally, at some point in your Christian journey about your destiny.

The answer will come through a consistent prayer life. The voice of the Lord will flood your heart with a resounding assurance. In your spirit, you will know the reason why you exist.

This article will take a closer inspection on the subject thereby giving you a better scope of understanding.

It is important to know who you are in Christ. Having this information deep into your heart whenever adversity arises, it will not detour your focus.

Even though things may be presenting opportunities that do not serve your spiritual purpose it will not distract you much.

What the Bible Says About My Identity in Christ

Galatians 3:27-28

“For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.”

Primarily, this scripture is pointing out the unnecessary reason to exclude anyone from sharing the Gospel of Jesus.

Everyone is a candidate to be used by the Lord.

Regardless of any differences in their race, spiritual backgrounds and male or female, God can use anyone HE wants.

It is always best to keep all scripture in their proper context.

This will make for better usage and understanding when applying the message to your personal lifestyle first.

The Bible does have various tones to be considered, that are interlaced on the same topics in different books.

There is a good reason for this. People have different areas in their lives that need the Lord’s Spirit to minister to them.

Therefore, we rely on HIS power to reach each person uniquely in the manner they need Him most.

What the Bible says we shouldn’t do.

People would gain so much more from Jesus as those who are skilled in the supernatural realm, are free to handle business without novice interferences.

In many cases, the tribulations involving others should be left alone.

The Lord already has His set order for how the Church is to function.

Everyone has their respectable places to abide within them for things to run smoothly every time.

Galatians 6:4-9

“But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. For every man shall bear his own burden.

Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

The end result of the gospel is to deliver the good news for instruction, correction, increase, reproof, enlightenment, comfort etc.

Therefore, the bible also warns not to compare ourselves with each other.

2 Corinthians 10:12

“For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.”

What is a Divine calling?

Ordinarily, a divine calling is a specific spiritual assignment.

It is the Lord who gives an individual to fulfill within a lifetime.

This is an extremely serious task that only the Father in Heaven can fulfill through the selected person as they willingly accept their call.

Here are some common factors that many people overlook when observing this subject. Everyone has a call on their life from Heaven.

We all can help each other complete our assignment.

On the contrary, no one has to accept their call, it’s a personal choice between you and the Lord.

It’s possible for a friend to have a similar task as yours.

Yet, nobody can do what the Lord has intended for you to do.

The things that aggravate us most, often help us to discover a clear indication of our divine call.

Allow me to explain this in more practical terms, so it can be easily understood spiritually.

If you’re a person who likes to debate everything no matter how miniscule the topic, then maybe you ought to be a lawyer.

If food cooked poorly irritates you so much that you know the exact ingredients to fix it, then perhaps you should be a chef.

The reason why it takes people so long to discover their purpose in life spiritually, is typically because they lack a sense of self awareness.

Yes my friend, the same is true in our spirituality.

The sense of acquiring our self-awareness is by no other way than having a consistent prayer life with the Heavenly Father.

This builds our confidence in God’s Holy word while it strengthens our faith.

It increases with supernatural advancements over time.

As the Holy Ghost continually speaks to our spirit providing us with instructions and wisdom.

Self-awareness isn’t something you want to guess about knowing from God.

We pray to the Lord to know with assurance and certainty about life matters.

Despite what others may say, the Lord wants us to get our information specifically from HIM first about our destiny.

Jesus is Not the author of confusion.

(1st Corinth. 14:33)

This is why it is so important to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit so we can hear the Lord’s voice in order to obey Him.

It is possible to miss it also. Sometimes, we may mistake the voice of the Lord for our own.

This happens especially early on in our walk with Christ when everything is so fresh to a new believer.

It can also happen to those who are seasoned and experienced also.

The reason behind the miscommunication can be a number of things going on in our life.

We have to take into consideration certain situations.

Take notice of things such as, if we’re under an excessive amount of stress, suffering an affliction in our body, emotionally overwhelmed, mentally fatigued, distracted in any way from prayer.

Lastly, if there’s any unconfessed sin present in our life it should not go unattended.

These are some common obstacles that would hinder someone from hearing the voice of the Lord clearly.

This is when the Pastor’s role becomes so vital to every member within the church.

(St. Matthew 22:14) They are called and chosen by God to watch for your soul.

Hebrews 13:17

Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.”

Now that I have laid that foundation, anyone out there who may be eagerly seeking a high position within the church for whatever reason, I would strongly recommend prayer and patience.

This should not be anything that is entered into on a whim.

A divine call in itself is no small order.

For anyone who is called and chosen by the Lord will not have light consequences for any misguided counsel.

Imagine with me if you can, the Lord’s adequate retribution for those who are in a high spiritual position illegally!

It is also just as terrible if not worse, to enter a destiny late that The Lord has ordered and or leave it entirely unfulfilled.

This isn’t pretty.

Psalm 33:4

“For the word of the Lord is right and all his works are done in truth.”

Who are you becoming in Christ?

Being a follower of Jesus, we are to relinquish all of our old habits and ways of thinking over to HIM for a more righteous lifestyle.

We have a responsibility to be trend setters for the entire world to see and feel the love of Christ within us as His ambassadors.

Romans 12:1-2

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”

As a soldier for the Lord, everyday a believer’s requirement is to die to our own selfish will and desires. As a living sacrifice all disciples of Christ have a lifelong dedication to studying the scriptures, fasting and prayer.

This is not for anyone to give or receive accolades. It’s an ordinary call of duty the Lord requires from His Church.

1ST Corinthians 15:31

“I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.”

As the scripture above mentioned, this is our rightful duty or “reasonable service” for having a covenant and allegiance with Jesus.

2nd Corinthians 4:16

“For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.”

Who are we in Christ according to Ephesians?

I believe the scripture passage from Ephesians 5:1-7 answers this question the best.

For the sake of understanding, I will use the New Living Translation.

 Ephesians 5:1-7

1Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children.

2Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.

3Let there be no sexual immorality, impurity, or greed among you. Such sins have no place among God’s people.

4 Obscene stories, foolish talk, and coarse jokes—these are not for you. Instead, let there be thankfulness to God.

5 You can be sure that no immoral, impure, or greedy person will inherit the Kingdom of Christ and of God. For a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world.

6 Don’t be fooled by those who try to excuse these sins, for the anger of God will fall on all who disobey him.

7 Don’t participate in the things these people do.

The Lord Jesus has distinct guidelines and requirements set aside for all those who are genuine followers of Christ from the outsiders.

Being a believer in Jesus is more than saying I am not a bad person.

In addition, it is far deeper than saying, OH-Yes, I’m a Christian with indignation.

This passage above is just one of many other scriptures that has drawn a line in the sand that will clarify those who belong to the Lord exactly.

Their actions and behavior will match us to their profession when they are truly converted into a disciple of Jesus Christ.

These things are not casually dismissed when a true believer of God falls into the traps of temptations as listed above.

Every believer is in different places in their Salvation development.

So, when someone does fall we still shouldn’t be so quick to point blame and ridicule.

God looks at the heart of every person while mankind only sees the outward flaws.

Instead, the proper response would be to pray for those who have found themselves in a pit of disappointment and shame over their mistake.

The Lord knows the difference between those of us who have premeditated their sinful acts of transgression against Him.

Therefore, HE doesn’t need our help in condemning anybody.

Consequently, we are never to look at anyone as if we’re better than them because the tables can quickly turn.

We will need someone to help us out of the same pit, we so ruthlessly criticized our neighbor for falling into.

The Sermon on the Mount also describes the kind of righteousness Jesus expects of His followers.

It must supersede the righteousness of the Pharisees to even be fully recognized in Christ’s kingdom.

The Lord has given us the mysteries of the gospel because we possess the Kingdom of God within us by receiving the baptism of the Holy-Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues.

This is who we are in Christ.

What does Luke 17:21, Lk.23:35,43 & Lk 24:13,35 teach us?

I will address this by giving a brief explanation.

It will tie into the overall theme of each of these verses based on the wisdom and revelation of God’s Holy-Spirit as I’m currently writing this.

“The Kingdom of God is within You.” (Luke 17:21)

Beloved, Jesus is our prime example to follow.

Although Jesus is God also, HE displayed a live demonstration of what all The Kingdom of God is capable of doing here on earth as the Son of man.

We see exactly how Jesus operated in power and authority to heal the sick, raise the dead, open blinded eyes, cause the lame to walk & cast out demons and etc.

Everything that Christ did, as long as we are living holy according to His Word, we can do the same things and more.

The Word of God gives us the authorization to lay claim to this supernatural access once we’ve proven ourselves unto the Lord to be mature enough to use it responsibly.

St. John 14:12

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.”

1 Timothy 3:6

Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.

As the Apostle Paul was mentoring young Timothy in the gospel.

We can take a lesson from this single scripture above as well.

The message was simply this, The Lord will NEVER give us anything that we’re not ready to receive or administer.

The adversary on the other hand will often push us off into doing things out of God’s timing.

He will coax us so we can fall into his devious traps of deception ultimately designed so he can kill us before a believer’s heavenly assignment ever reaches its completion.

“Today shall you be with ME in Paradise.” (Luke 23:35, 43)

As long as we’re in this world under the Adamanic fall of man, we will always have people mocking Jesus.

People will be blaspheming against the Holy-Spirit and accusing God of being unjust for the consequences that have happened to them, of which they do not understand.

It is clear everyone will not accept Jesus Christ simply because they don’t want Him, regardless of HIS innocence or righteousness.

Rejection is the opposite of acceptance but yet is it still an individual choice, nonetheless.

The Lord doesn’t discriminate against our freewill decisions that we make in life.

However, for all those who will decide to accept HIM, it is quite obvious where they will dwell with the Lord forever, in Paradise.

Every individual has to make up their own mind about where they want to spend eternity.

It is not the Lord’s fault if some choose to believe that their eternal states don’t even exist.

So as a result, they may decide to live a reckless and sinful life.

This is a grave misconception.

The Bible tells us we have only two options, life or death.

The Lord has even gone so far as to give us the answer to the open book test in Deuteronomy.

So, in all actuality, we can’t ever blame God for any punishments nor for the eternal separation that is inevitable to those who reject HIM as the only living God.

HE IS Jehovah -Tsidkenu, The Lord Our Righteousness.

Jesus is God and always will be The only Lord and Saviour for our souls.  (St. John 10:8-10)

“And they were told what things were done in the way, and how he was known of them in the breaking of bread.” (Luke 24:35)

We have this chapter in Luke speaking about the reaction of everyone in regard to the resurrected Messiah.

This particular verse is addressing two men from Emmaus taking a journey walking and talking about Jesus’s missing body.

The news had gotten out that the body had vanished from the tomb since the crucifixion that had taken place 3 days prior.

Little did they know that the stranger they were speaking with was the Lord Jesus Himself. The men were not able to recognize him immediately.

The Spirit of God had hidden his appearance from them.

The two men offered to invite the stranger home with them since it was getting late.

The “stranger” accepted their invitation. The stranger (Jesus) began speaking about the prophecy about the Messiah and how he had to suffer before coming into his glory.

The men still were not able to recognize him.

Jesus had to convince them that he wasn’t a ghost but was indeed flesh and bone.

The Spirit of God didn’t open their eyes to recognize Jesus until later on when they were eating fish and HE broke the bread with them.

Then HE disappeared.

Amazingly, our lives are very similar.

We can be so close to the Lord and yet so far away not to recognize Him when HE’S right in front of us holding a conversation.

So many people spend years working for the Lord but still never come to know The Lord of their work.

It is so ironic that these men were speaking about Jesus as if he was only a Prophet. HE is so much more than what we associate HIM to be.

Jesus is The Christ, The Resurrection, The Truth and the Life of Eternal Salvation.

Perhaps, the Lord appeared to them incognito, to see where their faith resided about all they had heard and witnessed concerning The Son of God.

Based on what you’ve been told and have already seen the Lord do in your own life,

what do YOU BELIEVE to be true about Jesus?!

What does God call us?

Contrary to popular belief, we are NOT Christians.

Technically speaking, The Lord identifies all His disciples as Saints.

God calls people “into the fellowship of his Son.”

So, we must first be clear of the appropriate connotations when asking biblical questions.

How do you obey the calling of God?

We obey the calling of God in our lives by first being open to hear His voice.

The scripture says that “My Sheep Know My Voice and a stranger they will not follow.

We have to be sure we have heard the Lord’s specific assignment for our life correctly.

Then, we must submit ourselves completely to yield to the voice that is calling us,

as we, pray work and wait for the next set of instructions from the Lord Jesus.

Our prayer is to stay in close fellowship with the Holy-Spirit for guidance.

Living according to all the Word has required of us is reason enough to work out our own soul salvation.

We achieve this through fasting and studying the Bible continuously.

We must learn to follow Christ by having self-control over our own spirit before we can ever lead anyone else into the way of righteousness.

This in return keeps us humble.

The first ministry towards obeying the call of God is through the reflection of our everyday lifestyle.

This keeps us from being arrogant and self-righteous. Even God will resist the proud.

Conclusion

Our confidence in the Lord is vital for everyone growing on a healthy spiritual journey and getting prayers answered.

Life will definitely come up against us.

So, the various trials and tribulations will require for us all to have a much deeper connection with the Holy-Ghost than average.

This shines a new light on the importance of attending fellowship regularly with a local Church where The Lord sends us.

It is there, we learn how to follow the Spirit of the Lord, how to obey HIS instructions and achieve HIS Release of installation for the next call.
